What a great time to be an Optimist. We have the ability to reach out and impact young lives everywhere, in our local communities and around the world. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work and serve all of you and all the kids in our communities. I am excited about the coming year and look forward to all the great things that are going to happen in the next year. I would like to congratulate Mike and his Team for a job well done and I also look forward to a continued relationship with this Team during the coming year.
Have you heard about our Motto for the year? It is "SOARING HIGH for the KIDS"! Together we can soar in strengthening Optimist membership, we can soar in achieving success in changing the face of Optimism and we can soar in developing excellence in every thing we do. We can do this because the key is, never listen to those who have the tendency to be negative or pessimistic. After all, WE ARE OPTIMISTS. These kinds of thoughts take the most wonderful dreams, goals and wishes away---the ones we have in our heart. We must always think of our actions and be positive. Above all, we must be deaf when people tell us that we can't do something. Today our Motto is "SOARING HIGH for the Kids" but on September 30, 2010 we will be able to say WE DID SOAR HIGH, DIDN'T WE!
