Optimist International CCDHH (Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing)

Topic: "Cyber Communication: Progress or Problem?"

Who:
Young people up to and including grade 12. Students must submit an audiogram completed within 24 months of the date of the contest by a qualified audiologist. Students must have a hearing loss of 40 decibels or more to be eligible to compete. Students may use sign language, oral presentation or a combination of both.

How to Enter:
Students must give a 4-5 minute speech on the above stated topic. Enter by contacting the AR District Chair, Cindy Bess, at cmbess@conwaycorp.net, or 501-327-2504 (fax). Students can go to www.optimist.org for further information concerning the rules and obtaining applications.

Award:

First place:
$2500 scholarship

Second place:
$1000 scholarship

Third place:
$500 scholarship
